The Center for Natural and Integrative Medicine

I met Dr. Kirti Kalidas M.D., N.D., last year through a friend who recommended that I speak with him about his overall approach to cancer treatment…and wow was she right! Dr. Kalidas is the founder and medical director of  The Center for Natural and Integrative Medicine (TCNIM) in Orlando. He is a leading proponent of blending conventional medical practices with scientifically validated alternative and natural therapies – and he has the experience to back it up!

Read on to see how his incredible approach can help… Dr. Kalidas is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and a Licensed Naturopathic Physician. He has been practicing medicine for more than 25 years – earning his medical degree in South Africa and completing his residency with the Georgetown program in Washington D.C.  He practiced as an Internist at an internal medicine/family practice office for more than 15 years in the Orlando area. However, became concerned about contradictory health claims and pharmaceutical side-effects. He felt that he was helping patients only to some extent by alleviating symptoms, but by not addressing the root cause, he was not healing them. As a solution, he created The Center for Natural and Integrative Medicine – a medical facility that practices an integrative approach to medicine, giving you the opportunity to utilize the benefits of natural and conventional medicine. TCNIM is concerned with restoring optimal health and balance. They work to identify and remove the root cause of disease, instead of merely controlling the symptoms with medications. A core aspect of this philosophy is that the treatment must be individualized to meet the needs of the patient.

With experience in both conventional medicine and innovative naturopathic therapies, TCNIM offers a personalized approach tailored to your physical, biochemical, and emotional needs thereby providing a bridge to Health, Hope and Healing. With their expanded 5000 square foot facility, The Center for Natural and Integrative Medicine offers wellness and preventative programs to promote healthy aging and maintain vitality. The Center  specializes  in managing and healing often misdiagnosed and chronic conditions such as digestive problems, hormone imbalance, recurring infection, irritable bowel syndrome, widespread inflammation, allergies, anxiety, fibromyalgia, mood swings, chronic fatigue syndrome, fluid retention, lost vitality, and other conditions that are not satisfactorily controlled. The Center for Natural and Integrative Medicine also treats many forms of cancer using integrative medicine – which combines the use of conventional medicine with naturopathic (alternative) medicine. It is an overall approach to health and healing that is sometimes referred to as a whole medical system or alternative medical system.

It enables healing through the restoration of natural balance and holds a strong belief that mind and body are strongly connected. Integrative medicine believes in the healing power of nature and its methods are natural, non-invasive, and minimally toxic. It puts a large emphasis on treating the whole person with an individualized treatment plan. The TCNIM physicians bring a multi-disciplinary perspective to health and wellness. Educated in conventional and Naturopathic medicine, we balance and integrate the two approaches to improve your quality of life. Health and disease come from a complex interaction of physical, emotional, dietary, genetic, environmental, lifestyle, and other factors. Our physicians prefer safe, effective, non-invasive and supportive therapies to treat a patient as a whole person to restore their natural balance.

The Center for Natural and Integrative Medicine has had success in identifying and alleviating conditions that often seem mystifying and puzzling to other health care professionals. For most patients, they assist in halting disease progression and preventing symptoms from worsening. They treat many cancer patients with a variety of different treatment types.
