Know Me
Well life was flying by very fastly I was married and had a little boy. When suddenly my mom started not feeling good. I was the only child still living here in the Portland area so i started taking her to the and doctor appointments & hospital stays. It was 8 months of testing and not knowing what was wrong with her. From people telling her it was all in her head imagining it to 3 unneccesary opperations. Not knowing what to do we finally got a diagnosis on July 3,2007. Pancreatic cancer stage 4. The next year is a blur of so many emotions of trying to take care of my mom while this disease took over her body and trying to juggle my life. Fighting the doctors and the nurses to help her and that she wasnt just a number or another statistic. She was my mom, a daughter and the most fabulous Grandmother but she was my best friend. She lost her battle on June 2, 2008. Life has never been the same since we lost her.
My mom had Pancreatic Cancer. My dad is fighing Prostate cancer for the second time in a year. Lets hope he can pull thru with the radiation and it works. My grandfather lost his battle with Liver Cancer a week after my mom passed away.
More Fun Stuff
I like real people. Poeople who are honest with good morals. I like people who say what they think and don't hide who or what they are. I like people who aren't selfish and have compassion for others and think about other people and not just themselves.
I am here hopefully for kinda like a therapy. Looking for some friends who understand.
I don't really have any words of wisdom. I have just learned to embrace everyday since we never know what will happen and I always try to look at the bright side and stay positive
