Psychoeducation for Spouses of Women With Breast Cancer:


Inclusion Criteria:



- English speaking

- Married or in long-term partnered heterosexual relationship

- Women initially diagnosed within 6 months with Stage 0-3 breast cancer

Exclusion Criteria:

- Stage 4 breast cancer

- Not able to read, speak or write in English

- Previously diagnosed with breast cancer

Allocation: Randomized, Endpoint Classification: Efficacy Study, Intervention Model: Factorial Assignment, Masking: Single Blind (Outcomes Assessor), Primary Purpose: Supportive Care

Outcome Measure:

Spouse caregivers' depressed mood

Outcome Description:

Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale: CES-D

Outcome Time Frame:

10 weeks post-enrollment into study
