Blue Tree Marketing offers simple solution to Online Auction Fundraising

Events

So, I recently chatted it up with my old friend Brian Rechtman, the Founder & CEO of BlueTree Marketing—a company that offers non-profit organizations and schools an online alternative to live silent auctions. Brian and I have known each other since we were just kids and I’ve been privileged to watch his company grow into what it is today! BlueTree has created a platform to effectively run online charity auctions in order to increase starting bids for live silent auctions or even better…replace them all together. So just to clarify, this can save nonprofits from having to set up big bulky events that require time, money, resources and instead allows them to engage donors in an interactive online setting—hmmm, sounds like an auctioneer’s utopia! For all of our readers who work with a cancer organization, make sure to look these guys up and see how they can help you.

Chai Lifelines’ “Young Leaders” send children to camp!

Events
A really psychadelic amazing Young Leadership Event with Chai Lifeline.

What a "Trip"

This past Sunday, Danielle and I took a journey down to Miami to rock out with my friends from  Chai Lifeline at their Young Leadership Event…and what a “trip” it was…literally! Chai Lifeline is a Jewish organization that focuses on enriching the lives of children who have been faced with life threatening diseases like cancer.  Since 1987 they’ve been changing lives through programs that deal with the social, financial and emotional needs of children and their families.

Bruce Grayson is the artist who created the venue where the event was held.

"Artistry"

The event was held at Bruce Grayson’s Wherehouse 2016; which appropriately is a “warehouse” filled with psychedelic art and strategically placed trinkets. Over 150 Miami locals came out to support and everyone was mesmerized by the eye candy. Since MIA is my home town, I got to hang with some old friends as well as my peeps from Chai Lifeline…big shout out to Ellen, Zisa, Marilyn, Shari and Heidi!!

Fund raising to send sick children to Camp Simcha.

For the kids!

Central Florida Chrome Angels ride for Breast Cancer

Events
Bikes at the Chrome Angels Pink Ribbon breast cancer event

Bikes, Bikes and more Bikes!

We recently participated in the 6th Annual Pink Ribbons for Life event in our hometown of Orlando, Florida. It was held by The Chrome Angels of Central Florida, an independent motorcycle riding association made up of women brought together by their love of riding and their desire to make a positive impact in the community. Their primary goal is to support breast cancer research and to help victims.

Sunday, January 18th at 11:30 in the morning, hundreds of bikers on an array of different motorcycles spilled into the parking lot. They came in shifts that began at 4 seperate locations, all riding for one reason…to raise money for breast cancer research!

The venue where the Angels held their breast cancer event.

Yeehaaw!!!

There was some great local country music, fabulous BBQ food, awareness exhibits, art, raffles, a silent auction, and some very awesome games. One game in particular, Laura Savageau (one of our fabulous volunteers) and I participated in. It involved the women putting a blindfold on and a plunger between their legs and the men putting toilet paper between their legs. Then the girls had to jump to us, hook the TP onto the plunger using no hands and hop back to the other side with it…Wow! Well, I don’t know if we should be overly proud to announce this but we won!! Got a gift certificate to eat some more BBQ to prove it.

Grafton Roll, an Old Dream from a Young Inspiration

Grafton and Dlynn Roll

Grafton and Dlynn Roll

At our first Know Cancer Community Awareness Fair, we partnered with the most informative and influential Cancer Organizations to heighten cancer awareness in Orlando…our home! The day was filled with live music, tasty treats, and raffle giveaways, all to raise money for the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute.  At the event, a young man named Grafton Roll approached us asking if he could read a speech that he wrote. His speech was originally done as a school assignment to honor Martin Luther King with a work inspired from King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech.  Since his mother has battled cancer twice (Lymphoma), he chose to write his speech on the eradication of the disease.

When Grafton delivered this speech at the event in front of hundreds of people…everyone stopped to listen.  Know Cancer thanks Grafton and his family for their commitment and support…and for allowing us to share his speech with our community. Without further a due…

I Have a Dream

I say to you today, my fellow race, that there is a problem.  This problem is as old as life itself.  This problem causes hundreds of thousands of deaths every year.  It crushes families and kills friends.
